AICFM-9 : call for papers

유체기계공업학회 회원 여러분들께,

지난 8월23-25일 유체기계공업학회가 주관이 되어 경주에서 개최한 제4회 유체공학학술대회는 우리 유체기계공업학회 회원들의 적극적인 협조 하에 매우 성공적으로 개최되었음을 자랑스럽게 생각합니다.

본 학회는 이 경험을 바탕으로 아래와 같은 제9회 아시아유체기계학술대회 (AICFM-9 : 첨부 안내장 파일 참고) 를 내년 10월 중 개최할 예정입니다. AICFM-9은 유체기계공업학회가 처음으로 개최하는 국제행사로서 성공적으로 개최함으로써 본 학회의 국제화에 출발점이 되도록 할 필요가 있다고 생각합니다.

이에 본 학술대회가 성공할 수 있도록 회원 여러분들의 적극적인 참여를 부탁 드리는 바입니다.

About the Conference
This conference is a continuation of the preceding eight conferences that have been held in the name of Asian International Conference on Fluid Machinery. It has developed from the fourth conference (1993) as an Asian International Conference through the start was held in two countries of Japan and China. The fifth to eighth conferences were held in Seoul (1997), Johor Bahru (2000), Fukuoka (2003) and Yichang (2005).
At the conference, keynote lectures delivered by worldwide renowned fluid machinery specialists will be made to introduce the outstanding achievements in various fluid machinery areas; for examples, fans and blowers, compressors, pumps, gas and steam turbines, and so on.
This time, the conference will be held in the wonderful resort island of Korea, Jeju, during October 16-19, 2007. This conference is organized by the Korean Fluid Machinery Association and will be supported by major societies inside the Asian region. Participation of those who are relevant to every facet of fluid machinery R&D will be much encouraged.

Paper Submission & Important Dates
Authors should submit an abstract written in English not exceeding 500 words through the official web site (www.AICFM-9.org) according to the schedule.
Relevant information must be submitted together with the paper abstract (author name, affiliation, address, contact phone/fax, postal code and e.mail address).

About the Venue (Jeju Island)
Jeju Island, which is the largest Korean island located in the southwest sea of Korean peninsula, is recognized as one of the most beautiful place in Korea. The island's mixture of volcanic rock, frequent rain, and temperate climate, renders it very similar to the Hawaiian Island in the U.S. The island offers visitors a wide range of activities: hiking on Mt. Halla (South Korea's highest peak), catching sunrises and sunsets over the ocean, viewing waterfalls, riding horses, playing golf, or just lying on the beaches.
